Jason L. Rothman, Esq. specializes in commercial and real estate litigation, as well as general corporate and construction law. In his construction law practice, Mr. Rothman has successfully represented owners, general contractors, subcontractors and sureties at numerous trials, arbitrations, and mediations involving both private and public improvement construction projects. Mr. Rothman regularly engages in all aspects of construction law and the construction industry including general contract and subcontract drafting and negotiating, dispute resolution, and both large and small claims relating to mechanic's liens, extra work, project impacts, delays, payment, bonds, Labor Law and prevailing wages. Mr. Rothman also has extensive experience in representing purchasers, sellers, landlords and tenants in real estate matters in the Supreme Courts, Landlord/Tenant Courts and Appellate Courts including property disputes, nuisance claims, breach of contract claims and non-payment and holdover proceedings. He also represents landlords and tenants in the drafting and negotiation of both commercial and residential leases. Mr. Rothman also represents his clients in connection with their general corporate and commercial needs. Mr. Rothman graduated cum laude from St. John's University School of Law where he was a member of the New York International Law Review and received the highest grades in Legal Interviewing, Counseling and Negotiation and Altenative Dispute Resolution. He was admitted to practice in New York in 1997 and in 2000, he was admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
