He has prosecuted and defended numerous small and multi-million dollar claims relating to non-payment, extra work, delays, changed conditions, defective work, defaults, terminations, mechanic's liens, prevailing wages, insurance coverage and performance and payment bonds. His practice also includes construction contract review, drafting and negotiation, as well as dispute avoidance and resolution.  Paying particular attention to the client's budget and the amount in controversy, he devises the most cost-effective strategy to obtain the maximum results in the shortest possible time.  Mr. Asselta also provides his clients with counseling and representation in connection with their corporate, commercial and real estate needs.

As his clients can attest, Mr. Asselta prides himself on the quick response he provides to his clients' needs or questions.

A member of the American Bar Association's Construction Law Forum and Fidelity and Surety Law Committee of the Tort and Insurance Practice Section, Mr. Asselta is active in a number of construction and surety industry associations. He was the Chair of the Bar Association of Nassau County, Construction Law Committee from 2001-2003. Mr.  Asselta graduated cum laude from Georgetown University and received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from St. John's University School of Law. He was formerly a senior litigation associate at a New York construction law firm.

In his spare time, Mr. Asselta enjoys playing tennis and golf, sailing and spending time with his wife and three children.  Mr. Asselta is also active in the community.  In addition to giving to various charities, he serves as co-president on the Board of Directors of Landmark on Main Street, Inc.
